The Evolution of Combat Sports

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a dynamic combat sport that requires highly trained hybrid attributes including the proper balance between strength and endurance/metabolic efficiency, rapid yet precise neuromuscular function, and the ability to respond to stressors while maintaining optimal cognitive decision making. The ideal balance is not only a function of an athlete’s weight class, but of their unique (and their opponents) strengths and deficiencies as an athlete in general.

By leveraging a completely individualized and data-driven approach to program development and training, NF1 is able to exploit an athlete’s strengths and target their deficiencies, while addressing and monitoring major dysfunctions that typically lead to injuries, not making weight, and overall suboptimal performance on Fight Night.

NF1’s Mixed Martial Arts Programs focus on:

  • Maintaining proper hydration & electrolyte balance
  • Optimizing organ function
  • Optimizing nervous system function
  • Injury prevention
  • Muscular symmetry & functional biomechanics
  • Physical & mental balance
  • Proper recovery
  • Avoiding overtraining

NF1 currently sponsors several world-class MMA fighters.
