BIA + Results

Report Review

BIA (Bioelectric Impedance Analysis)

What is being assessed: Body Composition, Body Fat Percentage, Skeletal Muscle Mass
What you get: Detailed Report, Access to the EVOLT mobile app to track progress, personalized training/nutrition recommendations, reassessment discount.

A simple 60-second scan that provides detailed data about your body through more than 40 measurements. It works simply by passing a safe electrical current through the feet and hands. The resistance to flow of the current determines the difference between muscle mass, fat mass, water and mineral. All readings are specific to the individual, allowing trainers to better design a health and wellness program.

Specific Prep Info: Avoid food, caffeine and supplementation for a minimum of 3 hours prior to assessment. Drink plenty of water but discontinue all fluid intake approximately 30 minutes prior.

Resting Metabolic Rate

What is being assessed: Metabolism
What you get: Detailed Report (Resting Metabolic Rate, Total Energy Expenditure) Macro-nutritent profile breakdown (Carb or Fat Burner), data that can be used to design a personalized nutrition plan, Nutrition plan (sold separately), reassessment discount.

Resting metabolic rate (RMR) testing shows how many calories your body burns at rest, giving you the data you need to plan weight loss, gain or maintenance. This non invasive, 15 minute test calculates gas exchange (using your breath) via indirect calorimetry which provides us or our nutrition partners an accurate estimate of your total daily caloric needs.

Specific Prep Info: Avoid food, caffeine and supplementation for a minimum of 3 hours prior to assessment. Drink plenty of water but discontinue all fluid intake approximately 30 minutes prior.

Pulmonary Function

What is being assessed: Overall Lung Health, Lung Capacity, Estimated Lung Age
What you get: Report, BreatherFit RMT device (sold seperately), BreatherFit Training Program, reassessment discount.

Pulmonary function tests (PFTs) are noninvasive tests that show how well the lungs are working. The tests measure lung volume, capacity, rates of flow, and gas exchange.

Specific Prep Info: No specific prep info.

Posture / Functional Movement / Motor Control

What is being assessed: Biomechanical function, Joint mobility, Movement efficiency, Postural stability
What you get: Detailed Report, Corrective Exercise Protocol, reassessment discount.

The Functional Movement Screen (FMS) is a screening tool used to evaluate seven fundamental movement patterns in individuals with no current pain complaint or musculoskeletal injury. The FMS is not intended to diagnose orthopedic problems but rather to demonstrate opportunities for improved movement in individuals.

Specific Prep Info: Wear athletic clothing/footwear (ie, athletic shorts, tennis shoes); preferably tight fitting clothing that make upper and lower body joints visible.

Strength & Power

What is being assessed: Strength and power capacity, Rate of force production, Neuromuscular efficiency, Risk of Injury, Athletic Performance Potential.
What you get: Detailed Report, Individualized strength/resistance training, nutrition and supplementation recommendations, personalized training program (sold separately) reassessment discount.

Athletic strength and power refer to the forces or torques generated during sporting activity. Their assessment can be used for strength diagnosis or talent identification, to monitor the effects of training interventions and to estimate the relative significance of strength and power to particular athletic pursuits.

Specific Prep Info: Wear athletic clothing/footwear (ie, athletic shorts, tennis shoes). Avoid strenuous activities the day of assessment, do not ingest any food or supplement that you would not normally ingest prior to assessment. Do not perform assessment if currently suffering or recovering from a musculoskeletal injury or surgery.

Vo2 Max / Anaerobic Threshold

What is being assessed: Cardiovascular Health, Cardiorespiratory Fitness
What you get: Personalized heart rate training zone protocol, Heart Rate Monitor (sold separately), Individualized training recommendations, reassessment discount.

VO2 max, also known as maximal oxygen uptake, is the measurement of the maximum amount of oxygen a person can utilize during intense exercise. It is a common measurement used to establish the aerobic endurance of an athlete prior to or during the course of training.

Specific Prep Info: Avoid all physical training for a minimum of 6 hours prior and rigorous training for 24 hours prior. Ensure adequate hydration the evening prior and day of the assessment.
